Oil Commission still awaiting 5th HCL draft proposal from committee after 8 months

Revealed to the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary Tuesday, as having four drafts of oil and gas law awaiting the arrival of a fifth to be released from mini-committee between the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, as noted that the continued dispute over the law is structured with five points, cautioned that the committee Baghdad – Erbil mini did not meet 8 months ago.

Committee member said Susan Saad told the “Awan” that “The Committee has four drafts of the law and awaiting the arrival of five mini-committee formed by the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, to come out with a draft unified view presented to the House of Representatives.”

It showed that “the Commission has failed several times to pass the law because of political interference, and the outstanding problems and is not finished with the Kurdistan region,” telltale that “the Joint Committee between Baghdad and Erbil has yet to meet, although formed 8 months ago.”

Saad noted that “the Commission will accept any formula about the law, he graduated from the Joint Commission,” pointing out that “the All copies law similar, but the dispute continued for five points related to each grant of powers, and the ownership of the Federation Council’s oil.”

Saad criticized the government to hand it “isolated members of the committee to participate in ongoing discussions with the province on the law.”
