Oil and Gas Committee member calls for Maliki and Barzani to agree on oil law

Called for the oil and gas committee in the Iraqi parliament Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani and the political parties Kurdish to invest the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to the region next week to discuss the outstanding issues between the governments of Arbil and Baghdad, as pointed out the need to reach Barzani and Maliki to a suitable formula for the draft law of oil and gas for the purpose of approval of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

A member of the Committee MP Furat al-Shara “It has to be the exploitation of a meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Erbil and meet with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, President of the region, Massoud Barzani, as well as the rest of the siblings of the political parties Kurdish for the purpose of reaching understandings serious about contentious issues between the governments of Arbil and Baghdad.”

He added that “the most important issues to be discussed and come to appropriate formats about them is the draft law of oil and gas power in the House of Representatives in particular that a lot of obstacles to the adoption of this law of nature is political, not technical.”

He called Islam “the political forces in Erbil to invest Maliki’s visit and a meeting of the Federal Cabinet its in the region of understanding about how to solve the problem of payment of dues to oil companies operating in the region,” adding that “a state of differences gripped the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil over the past period and this visit appropriate in terms of space and time to melt the ice and put an end to all the differences. ” (Agencies)
