A parliamentary source said that the Ministry of Planning reported that the number of House of Representatives of Iraq’s population is now 35 million people.

The council has asked the Ministry of Planning statistics on the number of population in order to determine in the new draft law for elections, the number of MPs in the next session.

The source told all of Iraq [where] that each deputy represents 100 thousand of the population, the number of members of the House of Representatives will have 350 deputies while currently numbering 325 deputies representing 32 million and 500 thousand people, according to the population during the elections, the current Board in 2010.

He said the Kurdistan Alliance MP Khaled Huani, that the number of seats in the House of Representatives Kurds will increase from 41 seats to 49 seats, an increase of 8 seats in the next election.
